Susana Goldman Named as Interim Director for Alamance Libraries

Alamance County announces Susana Goldman as Interim Director for Alamance County Libraries.

Susana Goldman has been with Alamance Libraries since February of 2014 when she was hired to be May Memorial Branch Manager. In 2016, Goldman was promoted to Associate Director of Operations where she became responsible for all library branches and staff. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism from the University of Iowa.

“I am honored to step into the role as Interim Director for the Alamance County Library system,” said Goldman. “We are working hard to move forward with our Bookmobile project and striving to continue to meet the needs of the community during this time of transition.”  The County is planning to start the search for the next Library Director in the coming months.

The South Annex Library is Now Closed

THE SOUTH ANNEX LIBRARY IS NOW CLOSED

October 4, 2018 – Due to water and water related damage, resulting from the past inclement weather, the South Annex Library will not  reopen. Alamance County Public Libraries will continue to provide free Internet service to southern and northern Alamance through the Mobile Café service, please find this schedule here: https://www.alamancelibraries.org/services/mobile-vehicles. Library patrons may also return their library materials through this new service as well.

Alamance County Public Libraries will continue to service southern and northern Alamance County through a bookmobile in the near future.

Alamance Library Branches Closing Early

The Alamance County Public Library Branches (May Memorial, Graham, and Mebane) will be closing at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 15.

The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be open from 10:00am to 1:00pm for their half price day.
